Features of spot welding robot:
1. Since the spot welding robot is in contact with the workpiece when it is working, the accurate positioning of the point and the workpiece is very important. There are no strict regulations on the moving trajectory of the electric welding robot. The spot welding robot not only has a strong carrying capacity, but also needs to be fast when shifting between points, the movement should be stable, and the positioning should be accurate, so as to reduce the shifting time and improve work efficiency.
2. The load capacity required by the spot welding robot depends on the type of welding tongs used. For welding tongs separated from the transformer, a robot with a load of 30 to 45 kg is sufficient. However, this welding tongs has a large power loss due to the long secondary cables, and it is also unfavorable for the robot to extend the welding tongs into the workpiece for internal welding.
3. On the other hand, the cables are constantly swinging with the movement of the robot, and the cables are damaged quickly. Therefore, the use of integrated welding tongs is gradually increasing. The quality of this welding tongs together with the transformer is about 70kg. Considering that the robot must have sufficient load capacity and be able to send the welding tongs to the space for welding with a relatively large acceleration, a heavy-duty robot with a load of 100-150kg is generally used. In order to meet the requirements of short-distance rapid displacement of welding tongs during continuous spot welding, the new heavy-duty robot has added the function of completing 50mm displacement within 0.3s, which puts higher demands on the performance of the motor, the computing speed and algorithm of the microcomputer requirements.


Electric servo spot welding tongs have the following advantages:
(1) The welding cycle of each solder spot can be greatly reduced, because the opening degree of the welding tongs is precisely controlled by the robot, and the welding tongs can start to close when the robot moves between points; After one point, the robot can move while opening the welding tongs. It is not necessary to wait for the robot to be in place before closing the welding tongs or moving the robot after the welding tongs are fully opened.
(2) The opening of the welding tongs can be adjusted arbitrarily according to the condition of the workpiece. As long as there is no collision or interference, the opening can be reduced as much as possible to save the opening of the welding tongs and the time occupied by the opening and closing of the welding tongs.
(3) When the welding tongs are closed and pressurized, not only the pressure can be adjusted, but also the two electrodes are gently closed when closing, which can reduce impact deformation and noise.
